After hitting play you are taken to the Options page. Here you can select to play Local Game (just you in this one) or you can play online. If selecting Online Game proceed to the next tab; Multiplayer. If selecting Local Player you will be taken directly into the game and you will be playing all 4 colors. Oh yeah, before I forget...You win the game by rolling directly into the empty center space (marked with a Star) to win the game and the accumulated Pot!
The playing surface (board) is on the left side of the screen and the controls are on the right and they consist of: Menu, followed by Pot, and then the Rotation Coins (more about these later) then finally, the Roll or End button.
The Multiplayer screen is where you prepare to login by entering a Player Name followed by clicking the connect button. Of course you could always chicken out and leave the multiplayer game by hitting the Back button.
When you have successfully logged in you will see your player name in the upper right corner along with your current Pot Totals. This is also where you would Create a Public Room or a Private Room (online right) or (on the left) Join a Random Room or Join a Private Room via a Room Code.
If you elect to Create a Public Room you will be taken straight into your room where you await others to join your table. If you elected to Create a Private Room you will, after you are taken into the private room screen, need to write down your room code and pass it on to whomever you want playing the game with you.
Players wanting to Join a Private Room need to enter a host provided room code into the Room Code form and then click on Join via Room Code. Once clicked you would be taken to the private room where you'll await other guests. Of course you could also hit the Disconnect button in the lower left to take you right out of the online game.
When the hosting player (Room Master) sets up a room, that player enters the room waiting for other players to join. In this room the master can see their player information in the upper right corner and a Room Code in the upper left. The room master can also toggle the public room off and go private where they can share the room code with potential players. The bottom right shows that there are currently not enough players to have a game so the hosting player can either wait for more to join or, they can elect to Leave Game by the button on the lower left.
When another player joins the room the Not Enough Players button turns to a Start button. The hosting player (Master) can now start the game or continue to wait for more players to join in.
The playing surface (board) is on the left side of the screen and the controls are on the right and they consist of: Menu, followed by Pot, and then the Rotation Coins (more about these later) then finally, the Roll or End button. The board itself has starting positions (aiming straight to the center and victory) for each color, a few hundred inverted directional tiles and last but not least, the empty center space.
The menu in the upper right corner opens a screen when clicked that offers such things as Help (in game Rules section) Options (things like volume etc...) and the option to Leave Game. Let us not forget the Close Menu button
Red player always starts the game by rolling the dice and then flipping the tile corresponding to the number rolled in in the direction indicated by the starting space.
When a tile is flipped that tile flies up to the center of the screen to reveal to all players what tile is now in play for Red. As the tile falls back into place the Red player's token glides in place to cover the direction the Red player's token will be moving in next turn.
For the purposes of the image Red had rolled a 6 and moved to reveal and cover a Green Reverse diagonally aligned tile. There the Red player can now either end their turn by clicking on the Red End or, seeing as the Red Rotation Coin is black side up (can rotate 1 tile at the end of turn) they could rotate something to end their turn.
Red player elects to take advantage of a favorable rotation by clicking on the tile their token is currently resting on. Red can either elect to rotate to the right or left 1 click. Remembering that the Green Reverse tile is diagonally charged, a rotation to the right will be aiming red at center on their next roll, Red rotates tile to the right.
The rotation ends Red's turn and 2 things happen. 1) Red's Rotation Coin flips to the white side up indicating that the next rotation available to the Red player will come BEFORE Red rolls the dice. 2) Next player pop up indicates whose turn is next
As the game progresses more tiles are revealed showing special instruction such as Skip a Turn, move in Reverse and Teleport. Most are pretty self explanatory as color indicates which player is affected, if any, coupled with a direction of travel. The Teleportation tile allows a player to teleport to a tile rather than roll a turn. To Teleport a player simply clicks on the tile to reveal the Teleport option Icon so they can click on it. The teleportation is instead of a roll of the dice.
When a player rolls directly into the empty center space the player wins the game and collects the pot. This screen also shows the player how many points they have in theirĀ pot.
